It’s time again to prepare for Cornball Run.  It’s an annual road rally here in Des Moines and this will be our 4th year running.  Our very first event had 3 teams total.  Last year, 38 teams of 80+ people participated and we made the cover of City View.  Entry fees started at $35, went up to $75, and the first place winners took home $1,700 in cash.   Payouts are always a percentage of the entry fees, and we make no profit, so more people means a bigger prize!

Hopefully we’ll have a new logo, start/finish location, and sponsors posted here in the first or second week of February.  We also plan on opening the early registration by Feb. 15th.  Until then, please excuse the messy website and old content.  It’ll come together soon.

Last year was our 3rd year for Cornball and by far the largest.  38 teams competed for first place bragging rights and 1,700 one dollar bills.  The Salisbury House was a great host, but I dont think they’ll have room for us this year and we need a different layout for a smoother start.  We had some growing pains with the timing setup, but we’ve leaned from that. Overall Cornball 2009 was huge success and we hope for an even better event next year.
